The registration period in our course booking system CSA will start on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 12:00. Registrations have to be finished until January 31, 2012, 11:59 p.m.

Admittance to courses will be granted on the basis of the registrations which have been effected within this period. Limitations of capacity might apply for certain courses. Admittance cannot be guaranteed to applicants after the deadline has expired. |

Deadline Extension for Erasmus Mundus scholarship applications: Jan 31, 2012! |

The deadline for applications for the Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the Master's Program in Geospatial Technologies was extended! The new deadline is Jan 31, 2012!!!
Please forward this information to all interested applicants.
We will be able to provide the following scholarships (numbers to be confirmed):
~5 financial contributions to EU students (in this context nationals or residents (> 1 year) from EU Member States and EEA-EFTA countries). ~1 full scholarship each to students from the three “Windows” (a. Western Balkans and Turkey, b. Tunesia and Egypt, c. "Eastern Neighbourhood Countries" (i.e. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). ~7 full scholarships to third country students (other nationals or residents than above). ~2 scholarships for third country scholars (visiting researchers), starting ~ September 1, 2012, either in Lisbon, Portugal, or Castellón, Spain.

GI Zeitgeist 2012: Call for short paper submission |

March 16-17, 2012, Muenster, Germany
GI Zeitgeist 2012 will be a conference for young researchers worldwide to get together and present their work in the field of Geographic Information Science. It will be a forum for researchers from diverse disciplines such as computer science, geography, cognitive science, mathematics, environmental science and artificial intelligence working on related topics to interact and find possibilities for collaboration.
Authors are invited to submit original research, not being considered for publication elsewhere. Short papers (max 1500 words) can be submitted to present visionary ideas, work in progress and preliminary research results, whereas full papers (max 5000 words, and not more than 10 pages) should present substantial results. All papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the scientific committee and all accepted papers will be presented at the conference. Full papers will be published in the IfGI Prints series (with ISBN) by the Akademische Verlagsgesellschaft AKA GmbH, Heidelberg. The authors of the best full papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their work for a special issue in a geographic information science journal.
