Call for application: ifgi Semester scholarship |
...in the Masters program in Geoinformatics
Summer Semester 2011
The Institute for Geoinformatics offers within its Masters program in Geoinformatics two one-semester scholarships (April 1 – August 31, 2011). One scholarship is reserved for students from Central and South America. The ifgi scholarship targets holders of Bachelor degrees in Geoinformatics or related areas. The grant-holder will be invited to choose a 30 ECTS credit point study program from the ifgi course program.
The ifgi scholarship includes:
- Monthly scholarship lump sum of 700 € per month (April 1 – August 31, 2011)
- Tuition waiver for the summer semester 2011
- Travel costs, up to 1.000 € according to the real and do-cumented costs
- Language course “German for beginners” (if applicable)
- Pre-arrival and after-arrival support by ifgi.
Applications are according to the procedures described under Master application procedure - with the difference of a joint deadline for scholarship applications on December 15, 2010.
In addition, applicants are requested to suggest a study program of 30 ECTS credit points, selected from the ifgi course program (to be published beginning of December 2010 at CSA - before, you might get an impression of the course program looking at the course program of summer semester 2010).

ifgi post-doc fellowships |
For 3 to 6 months between October 2010 and July 2011
The Institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi) at the University of Münster offers two fellowships for visiting post-doctoral researchers, for a lump sum of 3000€ per month each. Candidates from all over the world and with any disciplinary backgrounds will be considered, if they demonstrate potential to engage in innovative research together with ifgi researchers and students. • Münster Semantic Interoperability Lab (MUSIL), • Spatio-temporal Modelling Lab (STML), • Spatial Intelligence Lab (SIL), • Sensor web, Web-based geoprocessing and Simulation Lab (SWSL).
