Topics

Once the project deliverables have been provided, one might think that the project is over. However, several things still have been done. First, a project REALLY has to be closed out by implementing the project deliverables properly and documenting the project and project deliverables (i.e. software). Second, the customer’s satisfaction has to be evaluated. Third, a basic tool for improving your own work in the future is an internal evaluation after the project ends.

Goals

In this module you will:

  • Be aware of the final steps for finishing a project with a customer.
  • Learn about some aspects of customer relationship management, i.e., evaluation of customers’ satisfaction.
  • Learn how to perform an internal evaluation of your work.

Readings

Required readings:

Textbook: Robert K. Wysocki (2009): Effective Project Management (fifth edition), Wiley Publishing

  • Chapter 7
  • Wikipedia (2011): Customer Relationship Management
