The Institute for Geoinformatics
- strengthens its position as one of the world’s leading research institutes in Geoinformatics (or Geographic Information Science), qualitatively as well as quantitatively;
- addresses societal, economical, and ecological challenges in its research areas of spatio-temporal modeling and environmental measurement, spatial intelligence, semantic interoperability, situated interaction and sensor web and geoprocessing;
